It’s been a busy couple of weeks for me. Okay, a busy 11 weeks- so much for summer vacation! My position as coordinator of the President’s Public Service Fellowship ended this Friday. It was a great experience, and I really enjoyed working with multiple non-profits in New Haven. Even better was challenging a group of undergraduates- from the ways they think about the world and public service, to trying new activities and food. Vegetarian Indian cuisine did not go over well,  though at least I have a new favorite dish. I know it’s hard to see, but the pic at the right is Masala Dosa- The rice crepe is about a foot long, and inside there is a palm sized portion of a potato dish. So good!

More pics and updates after the jump!

Like I said, it has been a busy few weeks. Here is a pic of my Fellows at our service night at the CT Food Bank:

I usually have weekend activities and outings planned, but last weekend I decided to give them the whole weekend to work on final presentations and projects before their last week. Having a free weekend, Nicholas and I went to the British Art Gallery and Yale Art Gallery in New Haven.

This is the location for the local Red Cross chapter, a ridiculously large and beautiful craftsman home:

And here is a pic of the new expansion to the Yale Art Gallery, taken from the British Gallery:

We also covered the couch (Yay! No more floral pattern!),

And I took some photos with Nic’s hipstamatic iphone app. I have yet to buy one for my phone, but it’s pretty awesome:

And finally, an appearance from Ms. Kixie!
